How Many Contact Hours Can I Expect On A Fashion Degree?

Focusing on childcare and education from birth to the age of five, this college course will give you Early Years Educator status and a licence to practise in the sector, with weekly placements to boost your experience. Studying in our state-of-the-art mock plane cabin and other training facilities, you can gain the essential skills to land your first job in a cabin crew team or go onto further study. Embark on a career in the glamorous beauty therapy industry with our practical college course. Covering essential techniques such as skincare, waxing and manicure/pedicure, our course gets you working hands-on in our superb training/commercial salons to prepare you for the industry.

All of our undergraduate courses offer an optional sandwich year route that gives you the opportunity to apply for an industry placement between your second and final year. Or to combine study abroad with one of our partner institutions and a placement. If you choose this route, you will commit to working full-time in the fashion industry during your third year, before returning to complete your degree in your fourth year. As one of our students all of your teaching and assessments are included in your tuition fees, including, lectures/guest lectures and tutorials, seminars, laboratory sessions and specialist teaching facilities. You will also have access to a wide range of student support and IT services.

This unit introduces students to the fashion marketing theories and processes. Students will explore the marketing mix, market research and marketing strategies for different size organisations, before researching the influence marketing has on profit, reputation and the customer relationship. This unit explores fundamental aspects of advertising, the history, theories, purpose, scope and optimum channels. Students will investigate audiences and markets, as well as the psychological influence, impact and ethics of story-telling in marketing campaigns.
